Fall Sports

Carter is playing soccer and loves it. It is really fun watching him play. He's quite aggressive and usually scores a couple of goals.

Uncle James is the coach so Cohen is also on the team with Carter.

Getting ready to go after the ball.

This Fall Collin is playing flag football and soccer. He loves football, but isn't into soccer as much. He plays on a huge field, only four on four. Needless to say, he gets exhausted.

Team Name: Purple Panthers

Team Name: Blue Dragons

Getting ready.

Logan helps coach. It's definitely at least a two man job.

His cousin also plays with him. They are always practicing new plays together.

First Day of School!

In August, Collin started his first day of Kindergarten. He told me on the way there that he was a little bit nervous and a little bit excited. When I picked him up he said, "Kindergarten is awesome! I'm definitely going back tomorrow!"
He looks so tired!

Carter started his second year of preschool on the same day. No issues going to school with this kid; he was stoked!

Giveaway Winner!

The $25 Walmart giftcard winner is:
Aloysha (Julie H.)
She wrote: We love box tops too! I would buy cheerios. It's a major staple in our home!

Back to School Giveaway!

In honor of my determination to get back into blogging, I am giving away a $25 giftcard to Walmart. Through today, Walmart has food products with 4 box tops printed on them. Several products have two. Box tops are a great way for your school to earn money. They get 10 cents per box top and can earn up to $20,000 per school year. Collin started kindergarten last week and he has already turned in box tops a couple of times. He thinks it is so fun to cut them out and hand them to his teacher.

Now the giveaway rules. This is a very last minute giveaway, therefore, the first person to leave me a comment on what box top item they would buy at Walmart wins! Please make sure you leave your name and first part of your email address so I can contact you.

*Disclosure: The giftcard, information, and giveaway were all given to me from General Mills through MyBlogSpark.

Cowabunga Fun!

In early August my grandparents and little sis from Alabama, McKenzie, met us for the day at the new Cowabunga water park. The kids had been dying to go for some time and Logan had the day off so it worked out perfectly. I think Logan and Amanda enjoyed the slides the most and the little boys loved floating along the lazy river and playing in the pool area. It was really fun and the boys keep talking about it!

Man Alive, He's ALREADY Five!

Collin's fifth birthday finally arrived on August 13th; he patiently waited (well sort of) for it as he attended numerous birthday parties for other family members in the prior months. His last day of swim lessons was that morning and Logan came to watch with a few dozen donuts in hand. Afterwards, Logan took Collin out for a special birthday lunch. That evening we opened presents and went out to eat at Red Robin.

On Friday we had a splash party with a hot dog barbeque and to die for cupcakes with family and a couple of friends. The kids had a great time and the looming dark clouds didn't open up until the very end of the party so everyone was happy!
